Journey in a Week
Hello Brownies and Juniors!!!
We have a fun-filled week planned of badge earning and journeys. Please join us as we explore WOW-Wonders of Water and Get Moving in a week-long program that includes a badge a day. Our Senior troop (soon to be Ambassadors) will lead the way with fun games and activities.
Monday-Friday June 26th-30th
9am-4pm
9-12pm on Friday (with award ceremony at noon)

End of the Year Luau
Sunday, June 11th, Noon-2pm
Our Mid-Peninsula Service Unit would like to celebrate our Girl Scout year with a Hawaiian Luau theme park day. Get your troop together and bring your own picnic lunch. Socialize with other troops, volunteers and youth. The Service Unit will provide fun park games and treats at 1pm. Fun patches will be provided by the Service Unit.

Please keep to the adult-girl ratio to have registered adult chaperones. This is not a drop-off event, members need the adult-girl ratio. Register individually or as a troop. Registration needed so we know how many patches to purchase.

Memorial Weekend Event 2023
Saturday, May 27th, 9am-12:30pm
Hosted by Girl Scout Troop 61742
Your troop is invited to support Memorial Day by placing flags on graves at Skylawn Cemetery. Followed by Memorial Day crafts, activities and learn why we celebrate Memorial Day. Troops are welcome to stay as long or as short as they like. We are also invited back for a Memorial Ceremony on Monday, May 29th. Price will include snack and fun patch.
Registration is $8 per girl. Register by May 26th.

Bubblefest 2023
Sunday, May 21st, 3-4pm
Your troop is invited to enjoy a bubble-filled afternoon of fun! The Daisies, Brownies and Juniors will have an awesome time playing with their friends and learning some science facts too.

Spring Camporee 5/12-5/14

Weekend full of Fun, food, crafts, SWAPS, friendship and Adventure!
Remember all adults must have mandated reporter certification, current Girl Scout registration and background checks. All troops must have one First Aider and One person must be camping certified.

Troop or Family Camping 4/14-16
SU 389 Camp Out - Enjoy camping with your troop or family! Pitch a tent or sleep under the stars with your friends. Go for a hike, cook your own meals, enjoy evening campfires!
Cost: $8 per person, plus parking and buying your own food.
Registration open until March 31 or when we sell out.
All troops camping must have one First Aider and one person must be camping certified.

It's Cookie Season 2023 and we are excited to GO BRIGHT AHEAD. Girl Scout Troop 61742 enjoys teaching and coaching Girl Scouts of all ages. Each level will earn a cookie badge, Daisy: Cookie Goal Setter, Brownie: Cookie Decision Maker, Junior: Cookie Collaborator and Cadette: Cookie Innovator. Senior and Ambassador can earn a fun badge and requirements working towards their entrepreneur badges.
Girl Scouts will learn about the cookies, brainstorm how to use their cookie money, make personal goals, role play in a booth, create their cookie pitch, earn a badge and more!!!
Registration is $12 per girl due by March 3rd.
Please keep to the adult-girl ratio with registered adult chaperones. Register individually or as a troop.

A Girl Scout Trip of a Lifetime: INDIA - December 2023
(departing on/after Dec. 26th, returning before the start of school)
We look forward to meeting other scouts in our area interested in attending this wonderful trip.
We had an interest meeting back in December during finals week and want to invite more girls who may not of been able to make it. We will go into more details and set up a payment and meeting schedule for the next 10 months. An initial deposit of $400 will need to be collected by Feb. 28th for all that are interested. We are looking forward to an exciting trip!!!
Sisterhood Event Sunday, 2/12/23 for Cadettes
GS Senior Troop 32811 is hosting a sisterhood event on Sunday Feb 12th from 11:00am to 2:30pm. $5-10 sliding scale.
Sisterhood activities include cooking lunch and earning most of the Girl Scout Ways badge.

Gold, Silver, Bronze Awards Ceremony, Thursday 1/5, 7-8pm
Everyone is invited to join us for our Service Unit Award Ceremony. We finally were able to get this scheduled for Thursday evening Jan 5, 7-8pm.
During the last year our Girl Scouts have earned the Gold Award (2! Claire and Ayanna), Silver Award, and Bronze Award, these highest awards in Girl Scouting. We applaud extraordinary Girl Scout entrepreneurs who sold amazing amounts of cookies and fall sales products.
It is time to honor these fantastic achievements.

A Girl Scout Trip of a Lifetime: INDIA - December 2023
(departing on/after Dec. 26th, returning before the start of school)
It will be a short meeting to gauge the interest in this trip, and share in some yummy Indian food. We look forward to meeting other scouts in our area interested in attending this wonderful trip.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend this meeting so we can plan the food accordingly. Can’t make our Dec. 13th meeting, that’s ok we will host another one in Jan. However please also RSVP so we can keep you informed of our January meeting and send you information.
International Day
Sunday, 11/6/22 2-4pm
Your troop or a group within your troop (no minimum size) can choose the top three countries they would like to adopt. Within 48 hours you will receive a notice of which country your group has been given! The first 10 groups will receive a FREE trifold poster board for your group to post all the things they have learned about they adopted country!
Information on the adopted Country needs to be on the board and your group ready to host a table at the International Day fair on Sunday, November 6th. Your group will need to fill out the poster board, create a passport stamp/sticker and SWAP. Registration: $12 per Girl Scout/$10 non-registered girl (bring a friend interested in Girl Scouts).
Fall Camporee 2022 - Oct 14-16
Join us for a fun weekend of outdoor experiences giving girls the opportunity to unplug and learn new skills in a safe, girl-led environment. Fall Camporee is a chance for young scouts to get their first outdoor experience, and a place for experienced scouts to share their skills. It's a great time camping, cooking, celebrating old and creating new traditions, and having fun together. Full details here.
Celebrate a new Girl Scout year with your service unit and older girls by going on a trail adventure. The girls will sing songs, learn about hiking and enjoy their Girl Scout friendships. Our Cadette troop will teach the girls a hiking skill, talk about the gear you should bring, learn the 7 principles of leave no trace, go on a short scavenger hunt, bring a snack on the hike or have it after and then go on an adventurous hike. A snack will be provided, there is a gluten free and dairy free option. Bring a bag lunch and enjoy a day with your troop on the grass or play on the playground. All girls attending will earn all of the requirements for either Daisy Trail Adventure, Brownie trail adventure, Junior trail adventure, Cadette trail adventure, Senior trail adventure or Ambassador trail adventure badge.
