Mid-Peninsula Recognition Night 2024

When: Sunday, May 19th, 2024 3-4:30pm; Registration due by 5/12.

Where: Audubon Elementary School: Multi-Purpose Room

Girl Scouts of Northern California Mid-Peninsula Service Unit Presents the 2023-2024 Youth Recognition Event, honoring our youth and their accomplishments!  All Mid-Peninsula Girl Scouts and their families are invited to cheer on and recognize our Girl Scout awardees!

Is your troop bridging this year?  Bridging troops will have the opportunity to fulfill their bridging requirements before the ceremony.  At the end of the youth awards ceremony we will have a bridging ceremony.

Awards that will be presented:

• Bronze, Silver, Gold Award Recipients approved September 2023

• Ambassadors Class of 2023 Bridging to Adult

• Honor Troop- D/B/J/C/S/A

• Journey Summit Awards (Earn all three Journeys for a program level)- D/B/J/C/S/A

• Top Product Sellers: Fall Take Action 2023 and Cookie Program 2024

• Religious Awards: My Promise My Faith- D/B/J/C/S/A

• Presidential Volunteer Service Awards- D/B/J/C/S/A

• Service Bars- Community Service and Service to Girls Scouts Award Bars- C/S/A

• Higher awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold Award) require council approved acceptance by September 30th, 2023

• Honor Troop awards are awarded to troops that have earned over 90 points from the honor troop requirements.  106 possible points.

Bridging Honorees- $8 each, Wear Uniform, pre-registration required, includes bridging requirements before the event, this is not a drop-in event:

Guests - $5 each admission per guest, pre-registration required, this is not a drop-in event:

• All Girl Scouts are invited to help celebrate! Please wear your uniform.

• Family, friends, & troop members welcome to attend; Need not be an awardee to attend, cheer on your troop mates and sister Girl Scouts!

• This is NOT a money earning event. Admission covers awards costs, room rental, event expenses. Any proceeds will go to Service Unit.

Volunteers needed, service hours can be earned:

1. Chair and room setup and/or take down - arrive at 2pm, Brownie-Adult.

2. Award setup - arrive at 2pm, Cad-Amb or Adult

3. Flag ceremony for opening - arrive at 2pm to practice, no experience necessary! Any age level can participate.

4. Photographers (Adult) to take still/poised photos of the youth and email. Cad-Amb certainly can help! Arrive at 2pm.

5. Registration/Welcome Desk person/s - one must be an adult, others can be Cadette-Ambassador. Arrive at 2:30pm to set up.
