Space Cookies Vex Team

Open House Mar 2-3, 2024
Girls in grades 6 through 12 are eligible to join the Space Cookies VEX team. No prior experience is necessary, but all skill and experience levels are welcome! Our troop is girl-led with many leadership roles. In addition to robotics, our troop also offers various opportunities, including web design, photography, and videography.
Visiting the Lab & Joining the Team
Every year we host an Open House for girls interested in joining the team, followed by three consecutive lab visits. After the lab visits, potential new members may get an invitation to join the team. Once the new members accept the invitation and complete their paperwork, they can start attending troop meetings.
In-Person Open House on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 3:00-5:00pm and Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm in Palo Alto, CA.

Girl Scout Warriors Night with Dance
Girl Scout Dance Clinic: Happening on Sunday March 24th from 9AM – 11AM at the Warriors Basketball Academy in Oakland - 1011 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607. Any Girl Scout that participates in the clinic will be invited to perform on the court during our Pregame Primetime for the April 7th. Last season more than 110 Girl Scouts participated!
*In order for Girl Scouts to participate in Girl Scout Dance Clinic, the participating Girl Scout must purchase dance clinic fee ($40), attend the 3/24 dance clinic and the Girl Scout and chaperones must purchase 4/7 game tickets to perform on the court during the Pregame Primetime for the 4/7 game.
For groups of 10+ or more interested in reserving tickets, please contact me this week to secure your seats.
Special event item: Girl Scout Night T-Shirt
Extra Experience: All kids 18 and under are invited onto the court after the game to shoot a post-game free throw!

Oakland A's Girl Scout Day 6/9/24
Hello Girl Scouts! ⚾️ The Oakland Athletics invite you to participate in Girl Scout Day at the Coliseum on June 9th. We'll have a pre-game parade on the field and patches for all of the troop members. $2 of every purchase goes towards the Girl Scouts of Northern California. More information regarding the day itself will be emailed once tickets are purchased.

Discoveree is a one-day learning event for Girl Scout volunteers and leaders that provides a mixture of training, skills, and crafts that will enrich your troop's Girl Scout experience and is put on by volunteers. It is held in winter each year. https://www.discoveree.org
